I have a new designer, now what do I do?!
So, you got that wonderful email that says "congratulations!, you have a new team member!" Now what?! Well, you'll want to get them plugged into training and get them involved and off on the right foot. Show them what to do and teach them so they can teach it to their new team memers! We want a system we can easily duplicate down the line!
Make sure they get added to the team page, and tag them on the annoucement video thats pinned to the top of the page.
also refer them back to this website and the "start here tab". Remember it's www.TRYCTraining.com
The first thing you'll want them to do is to watch Business Basics in Chalk University. Its the first module and under 30 Minutes.
---Don't do everything for your new designer! Encourage indepence from the start!)
I always try to give a homework assignement before devoting more time to my newest recruit. I.e. "How do I set up a VIP group?"----My response would be "Great question! we have two really awesome training videos on that exact topic! I'd love for you to watch those and then shoot me a message afterwards with any additional questions you may have and I'm happy to help you then!"
This lets the designer know I am there for them, but I've anticipated their questions and I have already set up a system of training for that question.
It may be tempting to answer every single question when you only have one designer on your team, but your team will duplicate what you do, what happens when you have 1000 team members? You cant possibly be available for every single person. Best to start and train early!
The most important thing is to be there for them, encourage them, check in on them regularly and make sure they know that you care and you appreciate them!
After they watch the training, you'll want to encourage them to do their first event. This can be an Online Facebook Party, in person workshop, small event, etc.
You will need to be their support system here and may help run the event along side them.
You want to get them to experience some success early in their first few weeks!
This can be a club couture member, a first sale, a new recruit, something to encourage their confidence biolding.
